Who Should Pay For Drinks On A First Date? (Men Or Women)

Who should pay for drinks on a first date? Men or women?

Hey, this is modern times, right? It's 2023, so... Obviously we're all equal and she's going to probably pay for the dates. (probably not)

If you're the man, chances are you're going to be paying for drinks on the first date.

If you go for drinks on the first date, you really should make it into "drink on a first date" and stop at one. It's going to save you a boatload of money.

You don't need alcohol or to buy her a bunch of drinks to make it work, if you know what you're doing.

However, it can be a good way to set the mood, especially if you're going to invite her home afterwards. After having one drink.

If you're a party guy and you love getting wasted, then the idea of having one drink could be sacrilegious. But that's up to you.

On one hand, if you want to pay a lot of money every time you go on a date, then go right ahead.

On the other hand, if you're a guy who's getting a decent amount of dates, that will add up really fast.

You should probably limit it to one drink and not rely on alcohol to try and entice the women you meet.

What about not paying for drinks on the first date, or what about going Dutch? Well… you could go Dutch, but the majority of the time the woman is not going to offer.

If you take her on a date and it's going well, you have a drink or two and then you're calling quits, you don't need to go up to the cash register and be like, "what's your portion of the bill?"

It's not going to be something that helps you get the second date or take her home.

Let's be realistic, as much as everyone is "equal", we're not equal as soon as we get to the cash register, are we?

Really, the best option to avoid this completely is not going to get drinks and not doing anything that costs a lot of money.

If you do get drinks, then just grab the bill and stop thinking about it.
