You tell yourself you’re serious about getting better with women.
You even go out, walk around, and keep an eye out for opportunities.
But then you feel a little tired.
A little off.
Not really “in the zone.”
So you think:
“Eh, I’ll do it when I feel more on.”
“Not today. Maybe tomorrow.”
“I need to be in the right mood to approach.”
Spoiler alert:
The “right mood” is a lie your fear tells you to keep you exactly where you are.
Let’s unpack how this works—and how to finally break the cycle.
Most guys wait for some magical combination of conditions:
If you’re waiting for all of that, you’re going to die of old age before you say hello.
Here’s the truth:
Mood doesn’t lead. Action does.
On days I felt “off” but approached anyway?
Not because I started confident.
Because I acted despite not feeling it.
Letting your mood dictate your action creates a habit loop:
You’ve now made your self-esteem dependent on emotion instead of effort.
That’s a trap.
Tell yourself:
“I’m not the guy who waits for perfect conditions. I’m the guy who moves regardless.”
Even if it feels fake at first, it’ll start to stick.
You don’t need to start by hitting on a 10.
Start with:
That one rep breaks the seal.
Feel stuck?
Count: 3… 2… 1… GO.
Don’t give your brain time to talk you out of it.
Your feelings will catch up after you move.
This is huge.
After each approach, ask:
“How do I feel now?”
Almost every time, the answer is:
Use that data to rewire your default thinking.
You don’t go to the gym because you feel like it.
You go, then you feel better.
Same goes for approaching women.
Don’t wait to feel brave.
Do something brave—and watch the feeling follow.
