When most guys approach women, there's a hidden agenda.
They might not say it out loud, but it’s there:
And when that hope doesn’t pan out, it feels like a loss—no matter how the interaction actually went.
That used to be me, every time.
I attached expectations to every approach.
And every outcome that didn’t go my way felt like failure.
Then I tried something radical (for me):
A “no expectations” challenge.
And it completely shifted how I viewed confidence, rejection, and what it really means to take the lead.
It’s simple:
You commit to approaching women without expecting anything in return.
Not a phone number.
Not a compliment.
Not a date.
Not even a good reaction.
Your only goal is to initiate a conversation.
That’s it.
If she responds? Great.
If she doesn’t? Also great.
You did your part.
When you go into an approach expecting a specific outcome, you create internal pressure.
It becomes about “winning” her approval, instead of simply expressing interest and connecting.
That mindset is a trap.
Because you're making your own self-worth dependent on someone else's response.
When I started doing approaches with zero expectations, something amazing happened:
Why?
Because when you're not trying to get something, you show up more relaxed.
And relaxed people are attractive.
Here’s how you can do this in a simple, structured way:
Example: “I will do 5 approaches today.”
Not: “I will get 1 number today.”
Track what you can control: your action.
Don’t overthink it. Something like:
“Hey, I just wanted to say hi—you caught my eye.”
or
“I’m practicing starting more conversations—mind if I say hello?”
You’re not trying to be slick. You’re just breaking the ice.
Ask yourself:
You’ll start to notice a huge drop in internal pressure.
Stick with it.
Approach consistently.
And watch how your anxiety shifts when the outcome isn’t life or death anymore.
The “no expectations” challenge teaches you something most guys never learn:
You can approach, connect, and walk away satisfied—even if nothing comes of it.
You feel good because you took action.
You stop chasing approval.
You build your own self-respect.
And ironically, that’s when others start responding better to you.
Because you’re not needy.
You’re not trying too hard.
You’re just present, grounded, and real.
