You speak up in meetings.
You share great ideas.
But somehow, your words float off into the void—until someone else (usually named Brian) repeats them and gets applause.
Sound familiar?
Speaking up isn’t enough. You need to speak with presence.
That means speaking with authority, clarity, and energy that commands attention—especially in male-dominated spaces.
Let’s change how you’re heard starting now.
It’s not about being loud.
It’s not about using buzzwords.
It’s about speaking in a way that makes people stop, listen, and remember.
Authoritative speech =
Instead of:
“So I’ve been thinking, and maybe we could try…”
Say:
“I recommend we try X because of Y.”
Clarity upfront builds trust.
Lose:
These weaken your message. You’re not asking for permission. You’re delivering value.
Before responding, pause for one beat.
This gives your words weight. It signals composure. And it makes you sound damn confident.
Practice speaking slightly louder and lower than your “default.”
Record yourself. Listen for filler words or nervous laughs. Then tighten your delivery.
Posture matters. No slouching. Feet flat. Shoulders relaxed. Hands visible.
When you look grounded, you sound grounded.
Someone cuts you off mid-sentence? Try:
“I’m going to finish my point, then happy to hear yours.”
Or:
“Let me finish this thought, and then I’d love your input.”
Simple. Firm. Classy. You’ve just taken control without creating tension.
I’ll help you develop a voice that gets attention, commands rooms, and earns respect—without changing who you are.
